This is a casual game to have fun and to test a deck idea I had about Scout Drones.  T4 rules; I don't know what factions Noetherian is playing, but I've asked him to not play Rumbling Earthshaker.

I generated a random number for my play order, and got a 1.

Cerebral Paladin's Turn 1
Hand: Lv1 Technosmith, Lv1 Alloyin General, Lv1 Technosmith, Lv1 Grove Huntress, Lv1 Enrage

A complicated starting hand.  I'm going to play Technosmith to Lane 1, leveling Technosmith.

Cerebral Paladin  Lane Noetherian

Noetherian Turn 2:
Hand: Lv1 Yuru, Lv1 Yuru, Lv1 Yuru, Lv1 Magma Hound, Lv1 Scorchmane

I believe I need to level my Scorchmanes in order to win with this deck … and Hound is strong against wisp, so I guess I am not playing Yuru until after the reshuffle :->

You take 2 damage.
I play Magma Hound into Lane 2, killing your Lane 1 wisp.
I declare the attack and you take 11 damage.
I play Scorchmane 1 into Lane 5.

Cerebral Paladin  Lane Noetherian
  1  Volcanic Giant 1 (5/3)
Echowisp 1 (7/2)* [Fangwood Field 1]  2  Magma Hound 1 (5/3)*
  3  Air Spirit 1 (6/4)

I realized after I played that I had a line of play that I like better for Turn 2:  Alloyin General to 2, Fangwood to 1, Lane 1 trades.  Oh well.  If the roughly 7 points of damage from that Giant kills me, I'll know which play was responsible. :)  (On the upside, I'm not at all upset to have suppressed your Yurus, and I bet one of those would have come out with the line of play I was describing.)  Also, for the sake of readers, your board is messed up--it should have the Magma Hound in Lane 2, and it shouldn't have the Echowisp in Lane 1.

Cerebral Paladin's Turn 3
Hand: Lv1 Fangwood Field, Lv1 Echowisp, Lv1 Forgeplate Sentinel, Lv1 Electro Net, Lv1 Enrage

There is a risky play, but I really want to get fields on the board: Forgeplate 1 to Lane 1, Fangwood to Lane 1.  The other leading alternative is Forgeplate to Lane 1, Echowisp to 3 and 4.  I think I can't afford to lose another 12 and to have a weaker board, so I'm going with the Forgeplate Echowisp play.  Combat trades 1-3.

Cerebral Paladin  Lane Noetherian
  1
[Fangwood Field 1]  2
  3
Echowisp 1 (6/1)*  4
  5  Scorchmane 1 (0/6)*

I want to like Fangwood Field, but I often find it a challenge to get Fangwood into play early-game without getting too far behind on the board (given your last turn, apparently I am not the only one who has this problem).

Noetherian Turn 3:
Hand: Lv1 Vengeful Spirit, Lv1 Brimstone Field, Lv1 Scorchmane Dragon, Lv1 Lightning Wyrm, Lv1 Vengeful Spirit

I play Brimstone Field 1 into Lane 4.
I play Scorchmane 1 into Lane 2.

Cerebral Paladin  Lane Noetherian
  1
[Fangwood Field 1]  2  Scorchmane 1 (0/6)*
  3
Echowisp 1 (6/1)*  4  [Brimstone 1]
  5  Scorchmane 1 (0/6)*
87  Life 100

Yeah, I really struggle with Fangwood Field.  Brimstone is (as you demonstrated) a lot easier to play.  I really like Fangwood, though, and occasionally it's been a big deal, but it's hard to play the level 1s.  That's part of why I'm pairing it with Technosmiths--Technosmiths let you skip past the weak rank 1, but get the (much easier to play) 2s and 3s out.  Not that I've actually Technosmithed it yet this game, but…

Cerebral Paladin's Turn 4
Hand: Lv1 Forgeplate Sentinel, Lv1 Scout Drone, Lv1 Echowisp, Lv1 Cavern Hydra, Lv1 Scout Drone

Brimstone burns away my Wisp.

I'm going to play a Scout Drone to Lane 2 and a Scout Drone to Lane 5.  Nothing happens in combat.

Cerebral Paladin  Lane Noetherian
  1
Scout Drone 1 (3/3)* [Fangwood Field 1]  2  Scorchmane 1 (0/6)*
  3
  4  [Brimstone 1]
Scout Drone 1 (2/2)*  5  Scorchmane 1 (0/6)*

I don't think you need scorchmanes to beat a slow a/u deck, I think you just attack it with dudes until it falls in a heap due to the tempo loss acquired from smith/field/drone/chrogias.

I like Fangwood a lot, just don't try to play it in a deck full of other cards that are weak at rank 1. I don't love cavern hydra but an aggressive deck with 3 hydra and 3 field can be a handful.

My a/u deck looks something like:

3 Huntress
3 Lifeshaper
3 Echowisp
3 Forgeplate
3 Hydra
3 Fangwood
2 General
3 Spark Bot
2 Prowler
3 Electro Net
2 Enrage

Yeah, I'm not sure I would have gone the Scorchmane route if I were Noetherian.  Letting me get out from the pressure early is not necessarily something he wants.  Still, it should make for an interesting game.  And it does provide a strong counter to late game Echowisps, which could otherwise be challenging (or require a deeper investment in Brimstone).

There's definitely a model for Fangwoods where you get the Fangwoods out with Hydras or even Prowlers.  But that's not what I'm going for with this deck, which is really more an experiment than an effort to build a top-tier deck.  If this deck can be a decent Scout Drone centric deck, that suggests that Scout Drone may be effective when more aura cards are available.

Yes, upon further reflection I think I agree with you. A significant reason for me playing the Scorchmane Dragonss is that I have been playing a lot of Tournament games recently where I play early-aggression as hard as I can every game … and so in the casual game I was biased towards wanted to get out a Scorchmane (a card not present in my tournament deck) :->

Cerebral Paladin's Turn 6
Hand: Lv2 Echowisp, Lv1 Scout Drone, Lv1 Enrage, Lv2 Fangwood Field, Lv1 Enrage

Wow, that's a really ugly field--I was really hoping you wouldn't draw an early Scorchmane. :)  Hydra burns away at the beginning of my turn.  Hmm.  Echowisp 2 to Lanes 4 and 5 before combat.  Fangwood 2 to Lane 3.  Combat:  You take 4 in lane 1, the General and Scorchmane exchange some damage.

Noetherian Turn 6:
Hand: Lv1 Vengeful Spirit, Lv2 Volcanic Giant, Lv1 Cull the Weak, Lv2 Magma Hound, Lv1 Vengeful Spirit

Okay, that Fangwood 2 was unexpected … (Dragon says "ouch")

Your Lane 4 wisp takes Brimstone damage.
I play Magma Hound 2 into Lane 1, killing your Alloyin General.
I play Volcanic Giant 2 into Lane 2 (Replacing my Scorchmane 1).
I declare the attack.
Your Scout Drone dies in Lane 1.
You take 10 damage.
Both creatures die in Lane 4.
I move Scorchmane 2 into Lane 4.

Cerebral Paladin's Turn 7
Hand: Lv2 Scout Drone, Lv1 Grove Huntress, Lv1 Cavern Hydra, Lv2 Forgeplate Sentinel, Lv1 Forgeplate Sentinel

No complaints about how my deck is working.  Interesting question is whether I play to kill all of your creatures, or to maximize my advantages from my Fangwoods.  I think I'm going to go with the Fangwoods.  Scout Drone 2 to Lane 4.  Hydra 1 to Lane 3.  Forgeplate 2 to Lane 2.  Combat trades lane 4, kills your egg in lane 5.

Cerebral Paladin  Lane Noetherian

Cerebral Paladin's Turn 8
Hand: Lv1 Fangwood Field, Lv1 Cavern Hydra, Lv1 Electro Net, Lv2 Technosmith, Lv2 Technosmith

Can't block the Air Spirit no matter what, so Technosmith to Lane 1, Technosmith to Lane 5, leveling the Field and… I guess the Electro Net?  Yeah, let's go with that.  Combat trades lane 1, does you 8 damage.

Just for amusement value, I looked at the stats on my deck at the shuffle.  I have 7 level 3s, 6 level 2s, and 17 level 1s.  The combination of actively playing Technosmiths and Scout Drones really shifts the mix of my deck upwards.  We'll have to see whether that helps. :)

I am running off to the State Fair today and so I don't have time to post a turn right now.

However, I am playing two Level-1 cards on Turn 8.

Therefore, going into the re-shuffle, I will have in my deck:
Level 3 cards: 4
Level 2 cards: 8
Level 1 cards: 18

That is is to say, I have gotten 16 additional levels in my deck (2 plays per turn for 8 turns).

Looks like you have 20 additional levels in your deck. (Would be 21 if not for the fact that you are first player)
