Yes, Yuru is quite a versatile card. (Note that in an earlier version of the SolForge demo, Fleshfiend was a Zombie which made Yuru less useful.)

Hmm… straight Lvl 1's. Did I really reshuffle?
Yuru 1 to Lane 3; Cavern Hydra to Lane 5.

Combat: Scout Drone dies and you take 5. Is there a reason you didn't play your Technosmith into Lane 4? Seems like a worthwhile trade to me, particularly since it is otherwise so easy for me to line up a reasonable trade for a Technosmith 1.

Good point on the life. I should also note that my Fleshfiend in Lane 2 is 5/5 due to the Fangwood.
Unfortunately for you, I also got what I considered to be my ideal draw for the end of Round 2. Hydra regens. Fangwood 2 to Lane 4 and Fleshfiend 2 to Lane 5.

Combat: Lane 4 trades, and your Zombie dies. You take 13.

Question: If I draw a Yuru 2 next turn and place him next to my Fleshfiend 2, if the Fleshfiend dies before Yuru, do I get the choice of Fleshfiend 1 or Zombie 2? This is all hypothetical, of course.

First an answer to your question.
A fundamental principle of SolForge is that you cannot make decisions during your opponent's turn.
A corollary to this is: If an effect can possibly trigger on your opponent's turn, it cannot involve you making a choice. (This includes both Yuru effect and Fleshfiend effect)

Therefore, for triggered effects, SolForge uses the rule that cards resolve in the order that they were played.
This means that if Fleshfiend 3 is play before Yuru 1, the following happens when Fleshfiend dies next to Yuru:
(A) Fleshfiend was played before Yuru, so Fleshfiend activates first and puts a Fleshfiend 2 into play; then (B) Yuru activates next and puts a Zombie into play. This Zombie replaces the Fleshfiend 2 and so you end up with a Zombie in play. (Even though with Yuru 1 you would obviously prefer the Fleshfiend 2 if you had a choice).
On the other hand, if Yuru 1 is played before Fleshfiend 3, then the Zombie is created first, and then the Fleshfiend 2 spawns and replaces the Zombie, so you are left with a Fleshfiend 2.

Noetherian Turn 8:
Hand:  Lv2 Cull the Weak, Lv1 Forgeplate, Lv1 Vengeful Spirit, Lv1 Electro Net, Lv2 Technosmith

I play Cull the Weak on your Cavern Hydra 2.
I play Technosmith 2 into Lane 2, leveling my Forgeplate Sentry.
