Yeah, I'm still sweating the dragons a bit… they're kind of terrifying to go up against!

Darenth's Turn 9
Hand: Lv2 Yuru, Necromancer, Lv1 Rumbling Earthshaker, Lv1 Forgeplate Sentinel, Lv1 Magma Hound, Lv1 Scorchmane Dragon

Ooh, all important turn 9 hand, and my luck turns a bit!  Ah well, that's karma.   It's not a terrible time to get it field wise at least.  Going to Yuru to Lane 4, and Lv1 Magma Hound to Lane 5

Darenth's Field:
Lane 1: -
Lane 2: -
Lane 3: – [Fangwood 2]
Lane 4: Yuru 2 (4/12)*
Lane 5: Magma Hound 1 (5/3)*
Life: 90

Noetherian's Field:
Lane 1: -
Lane 2: -
Lane 3: -
Lane 4: -
Lane 5: Magma Hound 2 (9/5)*
Life: 96

Noetherian Turn 9:
Hand: Brimstone 1, Earthshaker 2, Technosmith 3, Scorchmane 2, Scorchmane 3

Wow! .. Nearly perfect draw (I just wish I could have gotten the Earthshaker some other turn)

I play Scorchmane 3 into Lane 3.
The Scorchmane trigger does 5 damage to you and your creatures.
Yuru summons a Zombie.
I declare the attack and both creatures die in Lane 5.
I play Technosmith 3 into Lane 4, leveling up my Scorchmane 2.

Darenth's Field:
Lane 1: -
Lane 2: -
Lane 3: – [Fangwood 2]
Lane 4: Yuru 2 (4/7)*
Lane 5: -
Life: 85

Noetherian's Field:
Lane 1: -
Lane 2: -
Lane 3: Scorchmane 3 (20/20)*
Lane 4: Technosmith 3 (15/15)*
Lane 5: -
Life: 96

Note:  Subtracted the 5 life for Scorchmane 3

Darenth's Turn 10
Hand: Lv1 Alloyin General, Lv3 Chrogias, Lv1 Technosmith, Lv1 Echowisp, Lv3 Forgeplate Sentinel

Hrm, Might be a bit of a risk, putting my Chrogias into the direct line of fire, but I suppose you could always go around.  Put him in Lane 3, and declare combat.

Then I'll drop my Forgeplate into Lane 4

Darenth's Field:
Lane 1: -
Lane 2: -
Lane 3: Chrogias 3 (25+4/25+4)* [Fangwood 2]
Lane 4: Forgeplate 3 (15/15)*
Lane 5: -
Life: 85

Noetherian's Field:
Lane 1: -
Lane 2: -
Lane 3: Scorchmane 3 (20/20)*
Lane 4: Technosmith 3 (15/11)*
Lane 5: -
Life: 96

Your Turn 9 draw wasn't so hot, but your Turn 10 draw made up for it. Let's see if I can come up with a way to deal with your 29/29 monstrosity.

Noetherian Turn 10:
Hand: Cull 1, Brimstone 1, Reaver 1, Reaver 1, Scorchmane 3

Well, I can't kill your Chrogias this turn, but drawing all my dragons on Turn 9 and 10 is pretty impressive … now I just need to figure out whether I want to smash a dragon into your Chrogias.

I move my Scorchmane dragon into Lane 2.
I declare the attack.
You take 10 damage and my Technosmith dies (your Forgeplate is down to 5 health)
I play Scorchmane Dragon into Lane 4, killing your Forgeplate 3.
I then play Brimstone 1 into Lane 3.

Darenth's Field:
Lane 1: -
Lane 2: -
Lane 3: Chrogias 3 (25+4/20+4)* [Fangwood 2]
Lane 4: -
Lane 5: -
Life: 60

Noetherian's Field:
Lane 1: -
Lane 2: Scorchmane 3 (20/20)
Lane 3: [Brimstone 1]
Lane 4: Scorchmane 3 (20/20)*
Lane 5: -
Life: 96

Darenth's Turn 11
Hand: Lv3 Scorchmane Dragon, Lv1 Echowisp, Lv2 Alloyin General, Lv3 Technosmith, Lv1 Rumbling Earthshaker

Regen 5, then Brim 2, end result?  Still a big Chrogias.

Alright, well, starting out, get my dragon on the field.  I'll drop him in Lane 1, then drop my Technosmith in Lane 2.  Then I declare combat.

Lane 2 trades, you take 29 in Lane 3.

Darenth's Field:
Lane 1: Scorchmane 3 (20/20)*
Lane 2: -
Lane 3: Chrogias 3 (25+4/23+4) [Fangwood 2]
Lane 4: -
Lane 5: -
Life: 60

Noetherian's Field:
Lane 1: -
Lane 2: -
Lane 3: [Brimstone 1]
Lane 4: Scorchmane 3 (20/15)*
Lane 5: -
Life: 62

Man the health totals started plummeting.

Yes, sorry about that.

As much as I would love to have a Scorchmane / Technosmith / Chrogias sandwich, I think I can live with a Chrogias 3 and Scorchmane 3 (somehow).

The first thing I did when I saw your post was look at the board … and it was an unbelievable shock! Wow, how did he manage to kill my Dragon AND get so many powerful creatures on the board. (But then I read your text and it looked like a board typo)

Noetherian Turn 11:
Hand: Electro Net 1, Yuru 1, Earthshaker 1, Echowisp 1, Cull 3

Well, there's the Cull I needed.

Your Chrogias regens to full health and then takes 2 Brimstone damage.
I Cull your Chrogias
I then declare the attack and you take 20 damage.
I play Earthshaker 1 into Lane 3.

Darenth's Field:
Lane 1: Scorchmane 3 (20/20)*
Lane 2: -
Lane 3: – [Fangwood 2]
Lane 4: -
Lane 5: -
Life: 40

Noetherian's Field:
Lane 1: -
Lane 2: -
Lane 3: Earthshaker 1 (3/7)* [Brimstone 1]
Lane 4: Scorchmane 3 (20/15)
Lane 5: -
Life: 62

Hand: Lv3 Scout Drone, Lv1 Glowstride Stag, Lv1 Scout Drone, Lv1 Forgeplate Sentinel, Lv1 Yuru, Necromancer

Hrm, Yuru to Lane 3, then Scout Drone 3 to Lane 4, then Glowstride Stag to Lane 2.

On combat, you take 20, and my scout drone gets wrecked, but Yuru puts a Zombie up.

Lane 1: Scorchmane 3 (20/20)
Lane 2: Glowstride Stag 1 (3/5)*
Lane 3: Yuru 1 (2+4/6+4)* [Fangwood 2]

Lane 5: -
Life: 45

Noetherian's Field:

Noetherian's Turn 12:

I play Magma Hound 3 into Lane 1, hitting your Dragon for 6.
I move my Earthshaker into Lane 2.
I play Technosmith into Lane 3, leveling up my Magma Hound.
I then move my Dragon into Lane 5.
I declare the attack.
You take 20 damage.
Both creatures die in Lane 1.
Creatures take damage in Lane 2.

Darenth's Field:
Lane 1: -

Lane 2 I lose a stag, Lane 3 trades, Lane 4 you take 4, and in lane 5 we trade.  Then I'll toss Scout Drone into lane 2, and Alloyin General to Lane 3

You were shuffling an incredibly scary deck at the end of turn 12, but that was not the hand you needed. (I want to like Scout Drone, but Scout Drone is not the Level 3 card that you want as your only Level 3 card on both Turn 12 and 13.)

Noetherian's Turn 13
Hand: Electro Net 1, Electro Net 1, Cull 3, Technosmith 3, Dragon 3

General takes Brimstone damage.
I play Scorchmane 3 into Lane 4, dealing 5 damage to everything.
Your Zombie dies in Lane 4
I declare the attack and both creatures die in Lane 2.
I play Technosmith 3 into Lane 1, leveling up an Electro Net.

Darenth's Field:
Lane 1: -
Lane 2: -
Lane 3: Alloyin General 1 (2+4/1+4)* [Fangwood 2]
Lane 4: -
Lane 5: -
Life: 20
Noetherian's Field:
Lane 1: Technosmith 3 (15/15)*
Lane 2: -
Lane 3: – [Brimstone 1]
Lane 4: Scorchmane 3 (20/20)*
Lane 5: -
Life: 38

Pretty unlucky to draw three of the five remaining rank 1 cards alongside the drone, till that point the drone had been performing rather well (on turn 12 the drone was only replacing a rank 2 play).

Darenth's Turn 14
Hand: Lv3 Technosmith, Lv1 Glowstride Stag, Lv1 Scout Drone, Lv2 Yuru, Necromancer, Lv1 Echowisp

Well, That's odd, but I can survive till my next turn (assuming no cull 3's or other ways to get damage in).  Not well mind you, but I can.  In fact, I have two ways to do it.  I can fill up the field OR I can give myself some health, enough to survive.  I can theoretically do both, but they're level 1 cards…  Given the fact that you've got magma hounds AND culls, I think I'll use life to survive, even though that'll open me up to getting dragoned or well, everything.  And both solutions leave me at 5 health after your turn.

Alright, Brim burns, Glowstride Stag to Lane 4, and Technosmith to lane 1, leveling up the Yuru.

In combat you take 6.

Darenth's Field:
Lane 1: Technosmith 3 (15/15)*
Lane 2: -
Lane 3: Alloyin General 1 (2+4/-1+4)* [Fangwood 2]
Lane 4: Glowstride Stag (3/5)*
Lane 5: -
Life: 25

Noetherian's Field:
Lane 1: Technosmith 3 (15/15)*
Lane 2: -
Lane 3: – [Brimstone 1]
Lane 4: Scorchmane 3 (20/20)*
Lane 5: -
Life: 32

Noetherian Turn 14:
Hand: Cull 1, Brimstone 1, Yuru 1, Earthshaker 2, Magma Hound 3

Brimstone hits your General.
I move my Dragon to Lane 5.
I play Earthshaker 3 into Lane 2.
I play Magma Hound 3 into Lane 4, killing your General.
I declare the attack and you take 20 damage.
Both creatures die in Lane 1

Darenth's Field:
Lane 1: -
Lane 2: -
Lane 3: – [Fangwood 2]
Lane 4: Glowstride Stag (3/5)*
Lane 5: -
Life: 5

Noetherian's Field:
Lane 1: -
Lane 2: Earthshaker 2 (8/11)*
Lane 3: – [Brimstone 1]
Lane 4: Magma Hound 3 (14/12)*
Lane 5:  Scorchmane 3 (20/20)
Life: 32

I think Stag 2, plus something like Chrogias to kill my Dragon is the only way you that you can survive another turn.

Darenth's Turn 15
Hand: Lv1 Echowisp, Lv3 Rumbling Earthshaker, Lv3 Technosmith, Lv3 Forgeplate Sentinel, Lv1 Fangwood Field

Not bad, but not enough to survive.  Good game!

Thanks a lot for the game. With so many heavy hitters in our decks, I felt the game was both close (and at least for me) quite tense, up until you missed heavy-hitters in both your Turn 12 and 13 draws.

Hope to see you again in Tournament 4, if you are ever looking for a casual game, don't hesitate to send me a PM.
